Biography

 Luciano Pompilio graduated with honors in classical guitar at the " Umberto Giordano", Conservatory of Music in Foggia, Italy.

Simultaneously, Luciano achieved post graduate degrees analyzing Britten's Nocturnal at the Humanities College in Bologna, Italy.

Maestro Pompilio took 15 first prizes at guitar competition reaching the final rounds in over 25 guitar competitions.

His duo work with Maestro Giuseppe Caputo, was rewarded first prize at the "Montelimar Competition" in France, considered the most prestigious duo guitar competition in the world. Luciano and Giuseppe were the first Italians to achieve this amazing feat.

In his recent visit to Paraguay, Maestro Pompilio was awarded "Premio Repubblica", one of Latin america's most prestigious civil awards.

He is considered among the best performers of the music of the legendary Paraguayan composer Agustin Pio Barrios Mangoré.

Maestro pompilio has produced eight CDs.

"Tribute", last CD, made the top 30 Itunes top 200 release list in both Canada and Germany.

Maestro Pompilio has toured Europe, Asia and America on several occasions.

He is artistic director of the "Città di Manfredonia" International Guitar Festival and Season Chamber Music "In Concerto" in San Giovanni Rotondo.

He plays on Muller’s guitar and use D’Addario string.
